The human animal is driven by instincts: ancient and modern, selfish and altruistic, constructive and destructive. Often these instincts hover just out of reach of our conscious minds. TEDxTulsaCC reveals them.

Why do coral reefs glow? When is a building alive? Is hope a feeling or a science? Find out at TEDxTulsaCC, where speakers will answer these questions and more.

The event is a collaboration between the Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity at Tulsa Community College and Tulsa’s non-profit and community leaders, with a goal to bring Tulsa’s best ideas to our community and the world. This independent TEDx event is operated under license from TED.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxTulsaCC, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTulsaCC event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
