Event Postponed

After a great deal of consideration and consultation with TED and other partners, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the TEDx event due to the evolving coronavirus outbreak. We are disappointed, but the health and safety of everyone involved must be our top priority. We are committed to bringing the event to Tulsa, so please stay tuned for a rescheduled date in the near future.

The human animal is driven by instincts: ancient and modern, selfish and altruistic, constructive and destructive. Often these instincts hover just out of reach of our conscious minds. TEDxTulsaCC reveals them.

TEDxTulsaCC is a multi-sensory, multi-disciplinary event, with a goal to bring Tulsa’s best ideas to our community and the world. The event takes place simultaneously in two locations: the McKeon Center for Creativity (invite only), and Gathering Place (free & public).

The event is a collaboration between the Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity at Tulsa Community College and Tulsa’s non-profit and community leaders. This independent TEDx event is operated under license from from TED.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxTulsaCC, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTulsaCC event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
